This device will extend your laptop with up to two external monitors. It originally works with DVI ports, but I used DVI-HDMI converters and connected my monitors using HDMI cables, and it works perfectly. Everything I’m including is original, and I am also including the two Amazon Basics DVI-HDMI converters with the device. I used this with a 2015 Macbook Air with macOS Monterey 12.6.7; I believe it is compatible with older or new versions as long as the computer has USB-A and Thunderbolt 2 ports. It also works Windows OS. The device was manufactured in August 2019 and bought in April 2020. The device still works perfectly; I just recently upgraded my computer and no longer have those ports. I used it with two 1080p Acer monitors, and it was able to refresh both monitors at 60Hz.
